This is a 47-year-old with concerns about her body contour. The patient was bothered by excessive fatty tissue and fullness in the hips, flanks, and lower back region. We discussed her skin elasticity and the options available to her. Together we chose body contouring using ultrasonic assisted liposuction contouring
Intravenous sedation was used so the patient did not feel, hear or see anything. We happily avoided general anesthesia.
Tumescent fluid was successfully used to also provide a high comfort level and blood loss was very minimal.
The patient was very happy with the result. She fits into clothing much better and she felt the procedure was comfortable, safe and successful.
