This is a 22 year old young, athletic, college student who came to us concerned with the size and asymmetry of her breasts and nipples. She also did not like how her nipples appeared to be inverted. Her current bra size was a 36A and her desired bra size was a 36C. Due to the lack of breast tissue and her slender, athletic build, Dr. Sullivan chose to perform her procedure in two separate stages to get the absolute best result. Initially, he did fat injections to both breasts in an attempt to balance out the asymmetries and prepare her for the silicone implants he planned to use in the second stage. The fat that was harvested from the patient’s hips, flanks, lower back and thighs. This fat was processed and treated then carefully placed in the breast to increase the dimensions of the breasts so larger implants could be used and still have safe soft tissue coverage. Stage two, which occurred just 6 months later, involved placing a 339 cc silicone implant under the muscle using the inframammary fold as an insertion site.
