Highlights from Dr. Sullivan’s 2013 ASPS Cosmetic Moderator Experience - Patrick Sullivan, M.D. Skip to main content

At last yearâ€s American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) meeting, Dr. Patrick Sullivan acted as moderator for a cosmetic session where he introduced presentations and conducted a question and answer segment with the speakers. He describes the experience as being gratifying, as he was able to learn more about the most recent research being conducted in the field of plastic surgery and, at the same time, ask specific surgeons and researchers about their methodology and findings.

The cosmetic session focused on both surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments. One of the presenters discussed safety precautions during injections, such as Juvéderm® and Restylane®. While Dr. Sullivan already takes extensive safety measures to prevent infection, he was pleased to learn how his efforts to go above and beyond in pursuit of superior patient care have been proven to be beneficial in a large study.

Dr. Sullivan also appreciated the opportunity to question an expert in the field of patient satisfaction in plastic surgery.  Dr. Sullivan is always looking for ways that he and his superb team can best meet the individual needs of each patient.  He recognizes that communication and understanding is key to providing an exceptional patient experience.  Each patient is not only unique in their appearance but also in what they hope to achieve.  Some patients are much better candidates for plastic surgery than others. Dr. Sullivan is always concerned with meeting and exceeding his patientâ€s expectations and therefore chooses not to operate on some patients if their expectations cannot be met with our current plastic surgery techniques.   It is wonderful to have more information from research studies aimed at increasing patient satisfaction.  Dr. Sullivan is dedicated to providing the very best result to each of his patients and has made patient satisfaction one of the cornerstones of his practice.
