Providence, RI — Rhode Island plastic surgeon Patrick K. Sullivan will be teaching two facial rejuvenation surgery courses at The Aesthetic Meeting 2014. Hosted by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the conference is set to take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA from April 24th – 29th. On Sunday, April 27th of the event, Dr. Sullivan will be lecturing on the following two topics:
- “Aesthetic Eyelid and Forehead Surgery that Focuses on a Natural Result for the Patient†– (2:00-4:00 pm)
- “Advanced Techniques for Rejuvenation of the Neck and Lower Face†– (4:30-6:30 pm)
According to his recent blog post titled Dr. Sullivan to Teach Two Courses at The Aesthetic Meeting 2014, the Rhode Island plastic surgeon intends to “instruct surgeons on how to more effectively achieve a naturally-appearing enhancement for patients, using both surgical and nonsurgical techniques.†In this blog post Dr. Sullivan lists three main goals for his courses, including: educating surgeons on how to evaluate specific needs prior to planning treatments; sharing his extensive knowledge of facial and neck anatomy; and helping surgeons develop an artistic eye for surgery.
When asked why he feels it is important for surgeons to participate in continuing education meetings like The Aesthetic Meeting 2014, Dr. Sullivan replied:
“I think it’s important for patients to have access to surgeons who are very well trained and highly qualified to perform their surgery, which ultimately leads to much better results. Additionally, advancing one’s education at these conferences can also help prevent the number of deformities and bad surgical outcomes we see so frequently, which often can’t be corrected. So, in short, I believe these continuing education courses help increase the level of care patients receive nationwide, and that’s a really important way to ‘give back.’â€
