The idea of  collaboration is always a win-win.  I had a wonderful opportunity to be

an invited speaker at Brown University’s Plastic Surgery Grand Rounds.  It is always

a joy to work with new members in the department and with resident staff.

My presentation topic was on Face lifting, Fat Injections (for additional facial contouring)

and Eyelid Rejuvenation:  How They Go Together (Part 1).

This subject has been a passion of mine for years.  Ever since I was an adolescent  I

have been sculpting.  Plastic surgery is the perfect combination of art and science.

Sharing my passion and experience with this group is always refreshing – great

questions and comments came during and afterwards which always sparks further

amazing discussions. Ultimately, it stimulates the ability to work together more

closely in the future and how collaboration can be beneficial for everyone.  One

resident said I left them with a “cliff hanger” with what was to come in Part 2.  There

is so much information to share about this fascinating topic that I had to plan a two

part presentation.

This week I am looking forward to participating in and giving more presentations at

the 9th Annual Oculoplastic Symposium on January 21, 2016 in Atlanta, GA.

These discussions strengthen our fields of expertise and our ability to bring the best

to our patients for aesthetic eyelid, brow and forehead rejuvenation.  It is sponsored

by the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive

Surgeons.

Actual Patient Before and After Lower Blepharoplasty with suspension to remove eyelid puffiness and circles (lid cheek junction deformity).
